Of course, the troubled condition ofthe waters, due to the war, had someeffect upon this voyage. The resultshowed itself not only in the programsof the club but also in the spirit of thegirls and in outside activities. Patrioticmeetings, dedicated to the war poets andauthors and to the national anthems ofthe Allies, were new and exceedingly ap-propriate and well done. The SorosisLiterary Society, in the earlier part of theterm, gave a sum of money (not an im-mense sum, but so large that it left a deephole in the Sorosis treasury) to the Y. A. War Fund.
