The Mairie (similar to a town hall) in the town of Les Eyzies de Tayac in the Dordogne region of France. The flags flying are the tricoleur of France, the Blue and yellow stared flag of the EU and the Spanish red and yellow, to indicate the twinning of the two tricoleur and the EU flags will be found flying on mairies big and small throughout France. The town is twinned with Puente Viesgo. Both towns have their pre-historic caves and archaeological finds in common. The Mairie is central to French life and the maire has many and varied civic duties, and is responsible for many own services and the development and prosperity of ot town and its citizens.
