Coast Guard Ensign Robert Preston of New London, Conn. examines an American-made truck which fell into the attackers' hands after they had stormed the beaches of Kwajalein atoll in the Marshall Islands. The truck was used by the Japs to carry troops. Ensign Preston helped direct operations of Coast Guard-manned landing craft, when the Yanks came in.
