People get on a crowded bus at a public transport stop in Kyiv amidst an electric blackout. On Friday, December 16, the Russian army attacked the Ukrainian energy infrastructure of Ukraine with 76 missiles, 60 of which were shot down by the Ukrainian air defense forces. According to expert estimates, 50% of the energy infrastructure is now destroyed or damaged. After severe damage to the power grid in many cities of Ukraine, the National Power Company Ukrenergo introduced emergency blackouts of electricity.
