Foundations of King Herod the Great's Palace in the Upper City or Mount Zion, according to archaeologists and historians here was the Pretorium where the trial of Jesus Christ in front of Pontius Pilate was held and not in the Antonia Fortress, The remains were found by archaeologists in the Qishle or Kishle which is part of David's Citadel and was built as a jail and police station by the Ottomans and later was used foir the same purpose by the British when they rulled the land from 1917 - Old City of Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Israel.
