Edna was a little timid at first, but after afew attempts she became braver than her progresswarranted. Meanwhile, however, she wasthankful and happy and was learning many usefulthings. Perhaps, at home, she might never havelearned to swim or to float. The boys also taught Edna to swim with her eyesopen beneath the water so that she could see thewonderful sea gardens on the bottom, where littlecoral animals worked away at their building andseaweeds of many colors grew and brilliant fisheswent sailing by. A whole new world of strikingbeauty was thus revealed
