English: This watercolour painting portrays Limburg cathedral and Limburg schloss beside the Lahn River. It measures 26x19 inches. It is believed that Mr Wood painted it on a trip to the continent in 1892. His father, Lewis John Wood (1813-1901), built his painting career on scenes of Northern European city life, and is known to have painted in Limburg. Mr Wood painted this picture prior to his death in 1918 53 Limburg an der Lahn (undated) by Lewis Pinhorn Wood
