English: This watercolour painting portrays Limburg cathedral and Limburg schloss beside the Lahn River. It measures 26x19 inches. It is believed that Mr Wood painted it on a trip to the continent in 1892. His father, Lewis John Wood (1813-1901), built his painting career on scenes of Northern European city life, and is known to have painted in Limburg.
