The First Division, red;Second Division, white; Third Division, blue, etc. Sheridans Cavalry Corpswore a white badge in the pattern of a sun-burst with a blue centre showingcrossed sabres in gold. Wilsons Cavalry Corps badge was a red banner suspendedfrom a rifle and emblazoned with crossed sabres. All of the army corps adopteddistinctive badges excepting the Thirteenth and Twenty-first < •r.
