A German boar hunter's sword, circa 1510/20 Strong thrusting blade, ridged on both sides, the root with stuck iron cross bar (replaced). Long ricasso with flat grooves on both sides, the root of the blade broadened and ridged in the middle. Straight quillons with round cross-section. One small struck mark on the end of one quillons' arm. Slender grip with leather cover over cord winding. Strong, pear-shaped pommel with superimposed, square riveted pommel. Length 132 cm.
