Roy Kitchener how they use precision laser equipment to align shafts and motors on a firemain pump at Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC). Kitchener and Goodrich visited SERMC Tuesday. In an average calendar year, the Pump Shop at SERMC repairs more than 60 pumps, and all are calibrated using the precision laser alignment tool.
