Figure 68 is aplan for a double unit system house. A similarhouse was first designed and advocated by Prof. H. R. Lewis,of New Jersey Experiment Station; blue prints of this arefurnished the residents of North Carolina, together with billof lumber, to assist them in constructing suitable houses forthat mild climate. The house is 40 feet long and 20 feetwide (outside dimensions). The sills are to be of yellow pine.
