A Spanish left-hand dagger, 2nd half of the 16th century Broad, double-edged blade with a reinforced square thrusting point. Strong ricassos with decorative etching and the inscription "Legios Tribuni". The collection number "1" is stamped at the base of the blade. The quillons curve strongly toward the blade. They have openwork ends with decoratively chiselled finials. Heavy openwork ring for the thumb. Grip with iron wire winding and Turk's heads. Flat, openwork pommel with a chiselled top nut.
