The temporary tooth had been wired to its fellow sometime before the skiagraph was made, and the wire is plainly seen inthe picture. In this case the germ of the permanent tooth is want-ing. Without a skiagraph the dentist was at a loss to know whatcourse to take to give the child the benefit of correctly shaped teeth.
