The Zero Mile Stone is being laid at the north entrance to the Ellipse as the Motor Transport Corps prepares to begin its transcontinental recruiting tour to San Francisco. The press car, driven by Claude Doty, will carry press men Stewart, McDuff, Kane, and Press Agent Smith of the Lincoln Highway Association, who will document the tour.
