Four Soldiers from the Afghan National Army were trained by instructors from the Romanian army on the 82mm mortar system at Forward Operating Base Zangabad in February. The four Afghan soldiers were chosen from 15 candidates and spent a week training with their Romanian instructors and the 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division Mortar Platoon.
