Two flight deck crewmen make sure the front wheel of an E-2C Hawkeye aligns with the shuttle of a steam driven catapult aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) as it conducts flight operations in the Indian Ocean on Sept. 21, 2004. Stennis and its embarked Carrier Air Wing 14 are participating in a scheduled deployment. The crewmen are Navy Aviation Boatswain's Mates who handle and guide aircraft on the flight deck.
