Boiled or baked, it is dry and floury, while the flesh is of fine grain and excellent flavor; producing a large crop of marketable potatoes; it ripens between the early and late varieties. One of the earliest and best of the Turnip varieties for forcing; very short-leaved; color of skin dark red, white-fleshed and small tap-root.
