Giant bishop puppet during St Albans Albantide pilgrimage

During the annual St Albans festival there is a celebration of Albantide, which commemorates Alban, the first English saint, by staging a procession retracing his final journey to execution and martyrdom. The procession includes a number of giant puppets representing figures from the time and presents various tableaux along the route showing events reputed to have occurred.
