A German officer's campaign sword, middle of the 17th century Double-edged, ridged blade. The edges are lightly notched by use. Etched, scroll decoration on both sides of the upper third, worn by cleaning, with a barely legible inscription. Iron knuckle-bow hilt with richly embossed pierced guards. The knuckle-bow with chiselled balusters. Grip with the original iron wire winding (slightly damaged) and one remaining Turk's head. Chiselled and engraved pommel.
