In the other varieties the loss on the check trees was less severe. l!^o variety of the sprayed trees lost more than twenty per cent, by rot, and this am3unt occurred only in the case of the Jefferson, it being five per cent, less than the check. I can not explain this loss. The loss in the other varieties was only five or ten per cent. The foliage showed some difference when the first notes were taken but not so much as later in the season.
