The survivors of the Twenty-fourth Michigan assembled at fouroclock in front of the Eagle Hotel on the public square, about thesame in number as rallied around their flag on Gulps Hill the nightof the first days fight. They were formed under the command ofCaptain Wm. R. Dodsley and marched through the mud and rain tothe rink. Captain Warren G. Vinton presided and Lieutenant C. offered a brief prayer in the absence of the Chaplain. MajorEdwin B. Wight of Cleveland, Ohio, then delivered the Address ofDedication, at the close of which all united in singing the SweetBye-and-Bye, in memory of our fallen comrades. The occasion wasone of sorrow
