Infant bones from Roman Britain. Museum collection of bones from a human skeleton dating from the 2nd to 3rd centuries, during the time of Roman Britain. The stage of development of the bones allows them to be dated to the perinatal period, which ranges from a few months before to one month after birth. This skeleton was exhumed from Poundbury Cemetery, in Dorset, UK. It now forms part of a collection held at the Natural History Museum, London, UK.
