The stocks have for many years been a general favorite, but of late years the Germans have grown them in such perfec- tion that they are considered almost indispensable. The seed is grown with such great care that a very large propor- tion of double flowers are produced from the seed, and of great fragrance and beauty. Hardy annual; 1 foot high. TEN WEEKS.—Very fragrant; large spikes of brilliant colors. Per pkt., 3 cents. LARGE FLOWERED DWARF PYRAMIDAL.—The most popularstock in cultivation. Per pkt., 5 cents. SNOWFLAKE.—Uncommonly large and very double, snow- white flowers ; the glossy, dark green foliage renders the dazzling whiteness of the flowers more conspicuous. Per pkt.; 5 cents. MAMMOTH VERBENA. Flowers of unusual size, single flowers sometimes being as large as a twenty-five cent piece, while the clusters of bloom are magnificent, and the range of color more vivid than in any other mixture. For garden beds or massing the verbena is unrivaled; flowers of the most brilliant color, blooming continually from spring until late in the autumn. Although perennials, they bloom profusely the first season from seed.
