The 110 km long dirt road from Olgii to Khovd is one of the world's famous scenic remote dirt roads running along the steppes and surrounded by snow-covered mountains. About midway between the two towns it runs by Tolbo lake, a large fresh water lake, popular with the Kazakh herders. This image was taken near the end of the road outside Khovd.
