The courtesy, assistance, and latitude of action, with which we weretreated in the German sphere shone bright in contrast with much of thetreatment that we received under our own flag; and our warmest thanksare due to those whole-hearted Germans, who are upholding the honour ofthe Fatherland on the far distant shore of Tanganyika.
