But, even should there be a recurrence ofpain at some future time, it would be a perfectly easyand proper expedient to repeat a procedure whichhas already yielded so good a result. In this connec-tion, I would observe that the greatest care should beexercised in securing the membrane to the skin, sothat there shall be no leakage. A good india-rubberadhesive mass is the best substance which I have yetbeen able to obtain; but I am in hopes of findingsomething still better in the course of The second case in which I tried this method,wasone in which there was localized hypersesthesia of thefore-arm subsequent to hemiplegia.
