Active and reserve Marine Corps tankers from Fort Knox have been operating at Wilcox Range since Monday to conduct day and nighttime gunnery qualification. Their efforts haven’t gone unnoticed as residents from nearby communities have called military officials concerned about the loud booms. Marine leaders said they will continue crew and section qualification through next weekend.
