General view on 2009/11/13 of the building site of the "EPR" nuclear reactor in Flamanville (50), third-generation nuclear reactor (European Presurised Water Reactor). This project has created much controversy after the recent report of the ASN ("Autorité de suûreté nucléaire", French Nuclear Safety Authority) that calls into question the monitoring and control system of this nuclear reactor in Flamanville as well as the one under construction in Finland. This "EPR" nuclear reactor project in Flamanville is running late: the construction was supposed to be completed in 2012 but the site won't be ready before 2013 even with the additional staff bringing the workforce to 2500 employees in the end of 2009
