The most unusual shaped eight foot cone, Grotto Geyser also has a most complex and convoluted eruption sequence involving many geysers in the area.

Grotto Geyser erupts about every eight hours, about 10 feet high, lasts about 1 to 10 hours with one more than 26 hours. Connected with at least five other geysers, eruptions are usually preceded by an eruption from other geysers. The cone is nearly 8 feet high. The odd shape comes from sinter accumulating over dead tree stumps as the geyser erupted. Grotto is large and has complex interactions between its own eruptions and those of nearby Giant Geyser, one of the world's most powerful geysers.
