Description and discussion It is now clear that Spath unknowingly had Schlueterella in mind when he proposed thegenus Neocrioceras. The genotype (type species) of Spaths Neocrioceras is in fact agood example of Neocrioceras (Schlueterella) compressum Klinger, 1976. A crushedbody chamber fragment from locality 79 (Fig. 60A-C) has ornament comparable to thatdescribed and figured by Immel et al.
