A gold-inlaid Persian kard, circa 1800. A strong wootz-Damascus blade with hairline grooves cut on the back. Gold-inlaid decoration (minimal defects) with floral designs and several animals on both sides at the base of the blade and on the grip frame. The grip scales are of walrus ivory respectively ivory (one a replacement).
