The monument with the tombs of Stjepan Radic, Pavle Radic and Duro Basaricek (members of the Croatian Peasant Party, killed in Belgrade in the Yugoslavian Parliament by Punisa Radic in 1928), Vladko Macek ( leader of the Croatian Peasant Party), Josip Predavec ( vice-president of the Croatian Peasant Party, killed in Dugo Selo in 1933), Milan Sufflay ( historian and politician, Croatian nationalist, the autor of the first Croatian science fiction novel, killed in Zagreb in 1931), Stiepan Javor ( one of the founders of the Ustase party, sent to prison in 1929, died of pneumonia in Srijemska Mitrovica in 1936), Juraj Krnjevic ( leader of the Croatian Peasant Party, died in exile in London in 1988), Marija Radic (wife of Stjepan Radic, she wrote articles in the Croatian National Party newspapers, supporting women's rights and universal suffrage. She died in Zagreb in 1954. Her burial with Stjepan Radić was forbidden by Vladimir Bakaric, and it was only allowed after the family sent a letter directly to Josip Broz Tito). The cemetery is one of the most beautiful in Europe. The Herman Bollè architect designed it in 1876. The cemetery is in Neo-Renaissance style and is home to Catholics, Orthodox and Jews.
