While Block 303 includes the entire Delta, the party boat fishery has been restricted to the main San Joaquin River and immediately adja- cent channels and Hooded islands. Therefore, the party boat reports rep- resent only a portion of the area. The fishing season occurs from October through May and has re- mained relatively unchanged (Figures 10 and 11). The reporlcfl mean weight of the bass caught has declined compared with lh«' 1938-1948 period (Table 7).
