Qrand^Duke Ernst Ludwig. Rich deep scarlet, with carmine markings ; very large flowers, individual petals fre- quently measuring 2 W inches across ; well rounded, large, heavy truss ; foliage, bronzy-purple ; height, 4^ feet. Harry Laing. An exceptionally fine large flower, on a truss of immense size ; color crimson-scarlet, very rich ; foliage, green ; height, 5 feet. James H. Veitch. Almost a counterpart of Harry Laing, except in foliage, which is of bronzy-purple. Souvenir de J. H. Krelage. The introducer of this variety, to whose skill we are indebted for many of the best Cannas gi'own to-day, considers this his best introduction in the bronze foliaged class. In color it is a fiery orange-scar- let, with satiny sheen, a color that can be seen a long dis- tance ; petals well rounded ; flowers of good size in large trusses ; foliage large, of a metallic bronze color ; height, 4 feet. Semaphore. A peculiar shade of light orange, contrasting well with the dark bronzy-green foliage ; 5 feet. Wm. Qriesinger. A bright deep yellow, with carmine spots ; a neat, clean flower. 35 cents each ; $ per dozen. Set of 6 varieties for ;Jl. 75. The Ne^v "White Canna. Mont Blanc. The introducers of this new white Canna state that Mont Blanc is a grand improvement on Alsace, with large beau- tiful white flowers which are produced in the greatest profusion in strong branching stalks thrown well above the foliage which is of a bright glossy green.
