Mini Big Wheel part of the seasonal equipment used in Pleasureland is now being dismantled for storage, repair, repainting and servicing. The park originally operated from 1912 to 2006 under the ownership of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach company. In 2007, the park re-opened under the ownership of Mr Norman Wallis.
Reopened in 2007 is New Pleasureland a venture led by Norman Wallis from Dreamstorm. The 25 acre site was given back to the council by Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Dreamstorm obtained a lease to operate on the site. Once a huge park Southport is slowly being brought back to life after its near closure a few years ago, with a selection of permanent attractions, some travelling rides and extra investment with rides from the closed Camelot Theme Park.
