A jury in the civil courts at Trenton, N. J., has awarded a verdict of $2,500 against the Spencer Heater Co., of Philadelphia, in favor of the Park Floral Co., of Trenton, with an offset of $1, The heater company has appealed from the decision. The Spencer company installed two boilers in the Park Floral Co. green- houses at Lafayette and Buchanan ave- nues. The latter company claimed that the boilers were too small to heat the houses and, as a result, thousands of dollars' worth oi sjtpek ^^t^ destroyed by frost. ' '"'-"'" When suit to recover the amount due on the boilers was filed by the Spencer company, the Park Floral Co. set up a counter claim for damages, alleging its loss was $15,000. The jury, which re- turned its verdict June 1, fixed the amount of damages at $2,500, with the deduction for the amount due on the boilers. TWO BOILERS—ONE IN RESERVE.
