I saw a painting of this scene in the reception of the Punchbowl at Crossthwaite and popped around the back to recreate it photographically. It was an interesting scene and a superb painting (although the artist had the ability to selectively cull and alter certain aspects of the view which I, as a photographer, couldn't, I think it makes an interesting panoramic scene, although it would perhaps be better at other times of the year!
