Command Sgt. Maj. Gregory Slater, the command sergeant major of the Army National Guard Professional Education Center, who presented Myers the badge, said the badge was currently one of the rarest badges in the Army, second only to the Army Astronaut Device. "It's so rare and new, that they have not quite worked out where exactly on the uniform, or what precedence, it is to be worn," Slater said. "We'll start to see more of these as time goes on," he said. "But I am glad that Sgt. 1st Class Myers is receiving this and it is truly a testament to his subject matter expertise."
