(Oct. 31, 2007) - Leaders from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, the Oak Harbor community, and the Boeing Company use ceremonial gold shovels to dig the first holes for a groundbreaking ceremony for the Growler Support Center. The center is being constructed as part of the transition from the EA-6B Prowler to the EA-18G Growler. Construction is scheduled to begin in November and be completed in May 2008 in preparation for the arrival of the first Growler in June. Navy
