A lion's head sabre for officers,with etched blade and "KG" monogram,Maker Paul Weyersberg & Co,Solingen Very beautiful,nickeled blade with maker's mark on the ricasso. Both sides of the blade finely etched with tendrils and trophies. Relief worked knuckle-bow hilt(opened?)with beautifully preserved gilding,the obverse crossguard languet with crossed cannon barrels,the reverse with engraved monogram "KG",the lion's head with two inset red glass eyes.
