A shuttle bus in use at Chicago Midway International Airport. Midway has been in operation since 1927n and was originally named Chicago Municipal Airport, it was renamed to honor the Battle of Midway in 1942. The airport is completely surrounded by Chicago south west side residential and commercial property and its runway lengths are limited as a result. As such, jumbo and large jet aircraft cannot use the facility and, rather, fly out of Chicago's larger airport, O'Hare International Airport.
