Thedifference of the markings on the upper fide is fcarcely difcernible: howeverthe under wing on the under fide is diftindtly different, fo that there is not inreality any doubt of their being difl:in6l fpecies. The caterpillar of this fpecies is likewife unknown. I have reprefented theupper fide of this butterfly at fig. 3 ; and the under fide at fig. 4. Thefe are common infeds, and both fpecies of flies may be eafily taken,when feeding on the different flowers that bloom at the time they are on the wing. /?S.
