Fishing under the midnight sun, Thingvallavatn, Thingvellir National Park, Iceland
The lake is unique for many varieties of arctic char and trout. Thingvellir is a site of historical, cultural, and geological importance and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland. It's the site of the rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Parliament or Alþingi was established at Thingvellir in 930 and remained there until 1789. Thingvellir is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
