Handsome ornamental hardy plants, growing 2 to 3 feet high, with finely-cut, spiny foli age and beautiful thistle-like headsof amethystine-blue; fine for winter bouquets .. EUPATORIUM (Thorough-wort). Strong growing, hardy perennials, well suited for naturalizing, all of the sorts offered below deserve a place in every hardy border; they thrive in anv kind of soil and in almost any position. Ageratoides. A very useful variety, growing 3to 4 feet high, with dense heads of minute white flowers from August until October Ccelestinum. One of the best blue perennials, iS to 24 inches bears from August till frost an abundance of clear, lavender-blue, flossy flowers ; splendid for cutting . . . Ptirpureum (Joe Pre- Weed). The native'variety', growing 4 to 6 feet high, with heads of reddish purple flowers in August and September UAILLARDIA (Blanket Flower).
