John A. Keller. John A. Keller, of Lexington, Ky., died June i, at his home, 123 E. Sixth street, of a complication of diseases. Mr. Keller, who was 69 years old, had been in declining healtii for the last two years and had practically retired from active business, leaving the man- agement of his establishment to his sons. Recently his malady assumed an alarming stage and he Krew gradually weaker until the end came peacefully. In the death of Mr. Keller, Lexing- ton loses one of its best known and most substantial citizens. He was born in Baden, Germany, coming to this coun- try 40 years ago. He first located at Nicholasville, but later removed to Lex- ington, where he has been actively en- gaged in business for the last quarter of a century. By industry, energy and courtesy he built up a profitable busi- ness which he leaves as a legacy to his sons. He was well liked by all who knew him, and his genial disposition made him many friends. He was charit- ably inclined and always ready to con- tribute to any worthy enterprise, or to persons in distress. The business will be continued without change. Otto Schwlll, Sr. Otto Schwill, Sr., one of the best known citizens in Memphis, Tenn., and senior member of the firm of Otto Schwill & Co., wholesale seed merchants, 20 South Front street, died June 10, after an apoplectic stroke which befell him June 9, immediately after he had re- turned home from the service at Trin- ity church. His death occurred at the family residence, 1713 Poplar avenue. Dr. B. G. Henning was summoned to the home on the Sunday afternoon and members of the family were with Mr. Schwill throughout the evening. His store was opened as usual on the Mon- day morning, but upon receint of a tele- phone message after 10 o'clock those in charge suspended busine
