This is the finest receptacle for the dead in Madisoncounty, and is a credit not only to its builder but to the cityin which it is located. It cost the goodly sum of $4,000,and is built of finely dressed Bedford stone, presenting a beau-tiful exterior, and is handsomely arranged inside the wallswith marble cases, urns, and stone vases for flowers. Dr. Edwins has spared neither pains nor money to makethis not only a credit to himself and a monument to the mem-. It caught fire on the20th of December of that year and was utterly fire had been put out under the boiler in order to enable somemen to do work there.
