A side view of a recently emerged wood tiger moth (Parasemia plantaginis) showing the aposematic colour scheme. A member of the Erebidae family, males fly during the day whereas the females are usually nocturnal. This species is locally common and found in damp meadows near streams. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in June.
