Fondamenta Zen, Venice, Italy. Corner house is the birthplace of the Zen (or Zeno) brothers, Nicolò (c. 1326–c. 1402) and Antonio (died c. 1403), notable for a number of letters and map (called the Zeno map) published in the year 1558 by one of their descendants. The letters describe a claimed voyage of exploration throughout the North Atlantic and possibly to North America.
