Pasteurized butter is as free from disease danger as any other food that comes to the kitchen door. Con- siderable of the butter is pasteurized. If the consumer appre- ciates pasteurization, the producer will furnish pasteurized but- ter. In summary, increasing the value of dairy products by increasing their price is not possible nor lawful. Proceeds can be increased by bringing some of the low grade products to top grade quality and by producing more in the winter, when prices are high. Profits can be increased by reducing the cost of pro- duction. The consumer will feel that he is getting more for his money if the quality is pleasing and healthful. Dairy pro- ducts have been scandalized before the consumer.
