A nice warm bath in the cold. Nagano Province, Japan: THIS GRUMPY monkey appeared to show its unhappiness with having its photo taken by flashing his middle fingers at the bemused photographer. One image shows two monkeys grooming in their natural hot tub, looking like they are sharing a secret together while another shows a macaque comically giving the photographer the middle finger. Japanese macaques reach a height of 22 inches and weigh around 25 pounds. They have short stumps for tails that measure no more than inches. These images were taken by British photographer Peter Bradley in Nagano Province in Japan. ?These are the only troop of monkeys in the world known to enjoy bathing in natural hot springs,? said Peter. ?They are wild animals, in their traditional habitat exhibiting natural behaviour. ?They run around searching for food, grooming each other and, clearly, enjoy playing in the snow and bating in the hot springs. ?They were very inquisitive and would come up to and touch people. ?It?s always exciting and frantic to capture good shots of fast-moving action. ?Capturing the playfulness of the macaques is mediadrumimages/PeterBradley
